Solicitud para ser candidato a un jardín

Foodscaping Utah is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by volunteers. Services are free of charge, but donations are greatly appreciated. Donations help us help more people grow their own food and are tax deductible. Click here if you are interested in donating toward our materials grant, which can help others in need gain access to nutritious food.

*UPDATE* – We will be accepting new applicants for the 2024 season through March 1, 2024, subsequent applications will be considered for the Spring 2025 season.

Volunteer foodscaping opportunities will soon be posted for Saturdays in May and early June. Hands-on volunteering is a great way to learn how to get started growing food. Sign up for our volunteer email list here. In the meantime, check out the ‘aprender’ en nuestra página de internet y nuestro canal de YouTube. for tons of information on installing your own foodscape.

Cómo funciona nuestro programa de instalación de jardines:

You invite your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone you can think of to a foodscaping party, or in other words, a “scape”.  We bring tools and additional volunteers and spend 2 hours converting your front yard into a foodscape. You will be paired with a foodscape coordinator who will work with you to plan and prepare for your scape, as well as provide continuing garden support and education.

Applicants must live in or very near Ogden, Utah and be interested in an edible garden that is visible to the general public. Recipients are asked to donate 10% of the produce grown to Foodscaping Utah for donations to local food banks. Recipients are also asked to pay it forward in another way, such as: al ser un voluntario de otra instalación de un jardín, para adquirir más experiencia y alavés poder devolver el favor. Por último, sino puede ayudar con las opciones anteriores, puede hacer una contribución monetaria a Foodscaping Utah o ayudar en otra manera que continúe nuestra misión de ayudar a la gente a aprender a cultivar sus propios alimentos.

Please fill out the information below and a scape coordinator will contact you with more details about Foodscaping Utah and how we’ll help you grow vegetables, fruit trees, small fruits (strawberries, grapes, etc), herbs and native plants in your own front yard.  We are all about helping people grow their own food in a way that looks great and works for them.
